The Race Of Truth

And the “truth” is that the the clock is mercilessly hard-nosed. On Friday, 20 May, I was lucky to have a chance to help kick off the Amgen Tour of California Stage 6 time trial in Solvang. Coming six days after racing Leadman, my legs were in the state you might imagine if you were kind enough to read my report of that race. Not to say that I was any worse – or better – off than the guys who’d were wrapping up the ToC. Regardless of how awful my legs felt, there is pretty much nothing cooler than getting to start a time trial out of a start house. It’s epic.
