Just found out that I got accepted to race Lifetime Fitness this summer! I’m very excited to participate in this race, which is one of the premier short course races in the world. Training for and racing Olympic distance racing should be a wonderful change and a real challenge. After Lifetime, I’ll participate in most of the other races in that series, with the exception of Chicago, as I’ll be cheering Simon (and others to be determined) on in Beijing. I think the short course racing will be a great experience, and I also think it will really help my long course racing at the end of the year. Many thanks to the folks at Lifetime for letting me in.
Sweet! That is exciting. And it’ll be a fun race to watch!

Woke up this morning, got a cup of coffee (habitually), turned on the internet, went to rappstar (also habitually) – no race report, no training report, nothing. Suddenly, I felt cold, I started shivering… well not actually, but I am looking forward to your next post. Congrats on making the race – not really a suprise though. So what does a bamf wear in his cycling and running shoes during an iron – Orthodics? What are other considerations that one might need at that race for not having his legs cramp?
