So after one of the best and most exciting Tours in recent years, with only a small smattering of scandals that were shut down refreshingly quickly by the teams themselves, I think the Tour may have indeed been taken back. It was nice to see people struggle and crack. It was good to see the top riders look HUMAN, something that has been a bit absent in recent years, with guys finishing the TdF looking fresher than they did at the start of the race. That’s not normal. Call me naive. I probably am. But I think the Tour has been taken back. It was a real bike race once again.
