As you, Mr. or Mrs. Interweb Surfer, may or may not know, I do a little bit of coaching for TargeTraining of Westport, CT. As is typical in the internet world, I am rarely in Westport. But such is the miracle of the web. Recently, one of my coachees just finished her first Ironman in Lake Placid. It’s a very funny story about how we met. When I was living in New York, I was headed to the pool, and a woman stops me in the parking lot and says “You look like a triathlete.” Somehow I managed to convince her I knew something, and she asked me to coach her, and thus I became a coach. And here we are, a little over two years later. I’m extraordinarily proud of her. She had an amazing day in extremely tough conditions. She’s a real trooper, managing to squeeze this in while spending her time working as the mother of two young twins, helping manage the Westchester Triathlon, and loads of other commitments.
Way to go Debbie!
Jordan…nice tribute to Debbie. You have to include the TRIUMPHANT finish chute pic, tho. 🙂
